because i spoke you into existence,

i believe we were meant to create something much

richer than the word “beautiful” implies.

something holy.

because you’ve bled yourself to sleep and arose

i’ve never seen someone so godly.

someone so magic.

do you know what it’s like to wait for you?

because i’ve been watching you build and break from a

distance, my arms will welcome your body closer.

but i will not beg or plead or influence.

because of art you will forever be a part in my story.

because i’ve watched you mend—again and again,

i want you to see how inspiring you are.

to be a woman unafraid to love

a woman who loves herself.
